O2Physics updates take a really long time even if performed in relatively small time intervals, like a week. What I’m doing is, as per documentation, a ‘git pull‘ in alidist, O2 and O2Physics directories and then go on to call aliBuild build O2Physics.
This can take upward of several hours. Admittedly, I’m not running a data center cluster, but if that’s how long it takes on a desktop with 12 threads I imagine laptop users must have it worse.
Am I doing something wrong? Are binaries for Ubuntu 24.04 accessible somehow and not used by aliBuild by default?
It probably should not be relevant, but I’m using WSL2.
